It was a Friday at the end of June on that sunny day we finally got married. After being together since January 23rd, 2013, you asked me to marry you on December 23rd, 2013. I said yes and could not have been happier. I wanted to wait to make sure we planned the perfect wedding. We decided on our date, June 23rd, 2017. I started planning early in 2017. We decided to get married at the church on the beach in SC. Wedding Chapel by the Sea was where we agreed upon. I was so excited to plan such a wonderful event for us. We hired a wedding planner and got a wonderful wedding package. We had to go to SC to grab our marriage license for the church way before we even went for that official day. I remember having so many choices and how overwhelming it became. Luckily, with our package, they hired the florist, DJ, caterer, and photographer. I just had to decide on which food I wanted served and the music played, as well as which bridesmaids I was going to have and go do dress shopping for us. I went to David's Bridal to get my beautiful wedding gown, and the girls came to get their dresses. Included with our package was a honeymoon suite at the Sea Mist Hotel. As well as after our church wedding, we got the reception on the beach at the Seaside Golf Resort. We got married around noon on June 23rd, 2017. What started out as a nervous morning trying to get everything ready turned into an unforgettable wedding. The one I always dreamed of having. On the beach and pretty much all my heart desired. I had most of all our family there except the few who were either in heaven or not able to make it due to health reasons. Despite the moment supposed to be about me and him, we did end up having to pay for everyone's hotel stay so they could make it. Which is fine, but really, I don't think anyone even told us thank you. But here we are all these years later, and I'm not going to dwell on that. As I was saying, I remember being so nervous I actually forgot my wedding dress at the hotel that morning, so my groom had to go back to the hotel to grab it so I had it to wear. My father walked me down the aisle like I always dreamed he would. He gave me away to my husband. We said our vows and said I do. I actually messed up my vows because I was so nervous with all eyes on me. So if you ever see our wedding video, you will see and hear what I mean. We had our beautiful girls as the flower girls and his nephew as the ring bearer. It was such a wonderful and blessed day. After we signed our wedding vows, we had everyone meet us at the wedding reception. The photographer took us to the actual beach and took some photos that are the most beautiful I'd ever seen. We then met everyone back at the reception for our walk-in and some music and dance time. The song we choose to dance to is Clint Black's "When I Said I Do." This has been one of my favorite songs and top choices to get married to. It talks about how it's always going to be a rise and fall, which I have found especially true in our marriage as well. It's two people who decide to choose each other every day no matter what is going on. The good times and sick days, or the days we wake up with nothing to offer at the moment. Since that day and hopefully for the rest of our lives, still we will continue to choose each other. This June 23rd will be our 9th wedding anniversary, and I'm so glad we are still together and making it together in the face of all we've been through as a couple. I love you, Timothy Weaver, always and forever.
